A BRADFORD man has been convicted of being part of a gang that blew up cash machines to steal money at post offices across West Yorkshire.
Lee Walker, 32, of Swain House Crescent, Bradford, was found guilty of conspiracy to burgle, steal, and cause explosions following a trial at Bradford Crown Court. A jury heard that Walker conspired to target the ATMs, also burgling homes to acquire stolen getaway vehicles.
He and his gang struck at post offices in Bradford, Shipley, and Pudsey in December 2015, including one Christmas Day raid in which more than £120,000 was taken from Girlington post office (pictured).
Walker will be sentenced at the same court tomorrow alongside three other members of the group, Jenson Grant, 32, of Pennington Terrace, Bradford, Lee Rubery, 46, of no fixed abode, and Philip Halliday, 34, of Fenby Gardens, Bradford.
