FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman after arsonists set fire to her home and blocked the main exit.
Crews from Odsal fire station were called to Rooley Crescent, in Odsal, at 10.10pm on Sunday after the home’s front door was set on fire, trapping a 55-year-old woman inside.
Neighbours told the Telegraph & Argus the woman works at Bradford Royal Infirmary and has lived in the home with her husband for at least a decade.
She is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said the incident is being treated as arson.
Det Insp Ryan Bragg, of Bradford CID, said: “We are currently investigating an incident of arson at a property on Rooley Crescent.
“We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time to come forward with any information about this incident.”
