TUTORS from Bradford College are set to share best practice with colleagues from across Europe on teaching STEAM - science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.
Two staff members will fly out to Malta next month to take part in an EU-funded STEAM summer school hosted at the University of Malta campus in Valletta, the capital of culture for 2018.
Tutors Simon Marshall and Saffron Rose will take part in a series of workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities with the ultimate aim of increasing student uptake of STEAM careers and high-level jobs. Later in the year two more members of staff from the college will travel to a school in Italy to see how the college might improve science communications. The college has secured around £10,000 in grant funding from Erasmus+ for the trips. Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.
