BRADFORD Bulls have stepped up to provide the city with big screen World Cup action, after the Council revealed it would not be showing any England matches in the city centre.

The Bulls will be screening all of England's World Cup fixtures, starting with Monday's opening game against Tunisia, free on a big screen at Odsal Stadium.

The move comes on the back of the Telegraph & Argus' story on how Bradford Council has decided not to show the national side's games on the Big Screen in City Park.

Andrew Chalmers, chairman of Bradford Bulls, said: "We are pleased to be able to offer this solution that will ensure a safe and effective all-weather option for families to watch the matches.

“We are well equipped here at Odsal to host live events and we're only too happy to support this at short notice to cater for the demand and wishes of the community and screen England’s World Cup campaign live."

As well as a huge 48 sq m LED screen which will show all the build up, and live action with commentary from the big games, there will also be bar and food facilities on-site, as well as children's bouncy activities in the family zone.

Footy fans will be able to bask in the sunshine while enjoying the matches, but if the weather takes a turn for the worse there will be full undercover seating for all guests.

Entry is free to all, however tickets need to be pre-booked at bradfordbulls.co.uk/worldcup. Tickets are available in the open zone and also the alcohol-free family zone.

The Bulls are also offering an upgrade option which includes an evening meal in the Southbank Hospitality stand for just £10.

England start their World Cup campaign against Tunisia on Monday, June 18, kicking off at 7pm, with doors at Odsal open from 5pm.

The second game against Panama kicks off at 1pm on Sunday, June 24, and the final group game against Belgium will be played at 7pm on Thursday, June 28.
