STAFF at supermarket giant Asda will be clinking cups to celebrate the NHS when they hold a NHS Big 7Tea party.
The Asda store in Cemetery Road, Bradford, is planning a series of fundraising events for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, which works with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The NHS Big 7Tea is a UK-wide event where people will get together for a cuppa and cake to celebrate 70 years of the NHS. A number of organisations across Bradford, including schools and companies, have signed up to take part in the celebration. The Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital are also getting involved.
Ingrid Fernandes, Community Champion at ASDA Cemetery Road, said: “It is very important for us to give back to our community.”
The tea party will be held on Friday, 15 June, from 11am to 2pm.
