A MEDICAL practice rated inadequate and put in special measures has made "excellent progress" to turn its fortunes around, says the Care Quality Commission.

Park Grange Medical Centre, Woodhead Road, Lidget Green, now carries the good rating overall, and for all five key areas, following an inspection last month.

Beverely Cole, Head of General Practice - North said:"Having been into the practice in March and May we were pleased to see significant improvements to the governance and safety of the practice, so much so it is no longer in special measures.

“We saw how the service had taken the findings of the previous inspection seriously and worked to rectify them.

"This practice has made excellent progress in the time since their last rated inspection and I am very happy that it has now exited special measures.”

A spokesperson from Park Grange said: "Following our previous inspection, we have worked hard to make sure the necessary improvements were put in place; working closely with the CQC and Bradford City CCG.”

“The report recognises that we treat our patients with ‘compassion, kindness, dignity and respect'.

“Achieving a rating of ‘good‘ means the report recognises the work we have put in place as a practice to deliver the significant improvements made since the last inspection.

“It is particularly pleasing to see the inspectors rated Park Grange as outstanding in relation to the way we use innovative technological solutions within the practice.”
