THE issue of safeguarding will be up for discussion at Bradford’s next Public Forum for Education later this month.

The event, open to parents, young people and education professionals, will look at the successes and challenges that both primary and secondary schools face.

Speakers will talk about Bradford’s priorities, what schools do well in education safeguarding, and share examples of local good practice.

Councillor Adrian Farley, Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for children’s social care, will talk about work undertaken in Keighley in supporting schools on education safeguarding, and Alina Tai, the authority’s strategic manager for education safeguarding, will give an overview of the issues addressed in schools over the last year.

The forum takes place from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 20 in the Hockney Room at Bradford’s Margaret McMillan Tower. Entry is free, but places must be booked on 01274 434335.
