The next steps in relation to a Bingley nightclub are to be discussed at the next meeting of Bingley Town Council.

The former Bijou nightclub was due to open under the name 11a under a temporary licence on Saturday, May 19, but suffered broken windows in the early hours of the morning.

Organisers of the one-off event, for which they had received no objections from the police, decided not to hold the event and posted on Facebook that they would refund everyone who had bought tickets online. The organisers also suggested another date would be made to hold the event.

The club was closed in December last year and had its licence revoked following the death of James Etherington in November.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The town council will receive an update and consider the next steps when it meets on Tuesday, May 29, at 6.30pm. The meeting is open to the public.
