POLICE have issued a CCTV clip of a man they wish to speak with as part of continuing inquiries into an allegation of sexual assault in Bradford.

Bradford District CID would like to speak with anyone who can identify the man in the clip who they are trying to trace in connection with a reported incident at around 1am on Monday, May 14, at the University of Bradford complex.

Officers have also issued an efit of the suspect.

The incident is said to have taken place after a 21-year-old female student was grabbed by a man as she was making her way home.

She attempted to push away the man who grabbed her wrists and is alleged to have sexually assaulted her.

The victim managed to get away from the suspect after punching him in the chest. The suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, in his 20s, 5ft 6 inches tall with a short trimmed beard. His clothing was distinctive - a black t-shirt with the words ‘Toyko, NYC and Paris’ emblazoned on his chest. He was also wearing a hooded top.

Detective Inspector Damian Simpson, of Bradford District Safeguarding, said: “We are continuing to investigate this very serious incident and are now issuing moving CCTV footage of a man we wish to speak with in connection with our inquiry.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured in the footage, stills or efit to please contact us at Bradford District CID.

“Officers are continuing to support the victim who was understandably extremely distressed by what took place.”
