Telegraph & Argus Tuesday April 23, 1974:

The popular fast food establishment, Kentucky Fried Chicken, had finally arrived in Bradford. Located on Duckworth Lane the new store opened its doors offering half price vouchers to eager customers during its official opening. With bright orange and white shop fittings, a ranch-style interior to attract the eye, plus an appetising aroma in the air, the new shop was hard to miss. Apparently, what made that aroma especially outstanding was the way the chickens were prepared using a secret recipe. They would even cater for indoor and outdoor events for up to 5,000 people - including weddings - from 56p a head. The Duckworth Lane shop was just one of the latest to be opened by Haworth-based concern, Chicken Cabins Ltd.
