STUDENTS at Bradford College's Northern Dental Education Centre (NORDEC) have been playing their part in National Smile Month.
The events at NORDEC have included activities focused on oral health, plus taster sessions and outreach work. Proceeds raised through charity fundraising will be used to donate oral health packs to youth and community centres in Bradford. Laura Marshall, from NORDEC, said events like National Smile Month are "extremely important" in Bradford due to the statistics on dental decay.
The £500,000 dental training centre was opened last year and is used to train the next generation of apprentice dental nurses. It also offers professional development training to staff throughout the industry.
