RESIDENTS in Thorpe Edge gave police the thumbs up as they seized and took away a nuisance bike.

Police said an "annoyed" resident had contacted them about a nuisance pit bike in the area.

When officers attended the Thorpe Edge area they found it being ridden on the road by a youth.

The vehicle was stopped and seized and the driver reported for offences.

A police spokesman said: "Residents driving past gave us the thumbs up."
