India overseas batsman Che Pujara top-scored with 73 as Yorkshire posted 247-9 during the first half of their Royal London one-day Cup clash with Warwickshire at Emerald Headingley.

Pujara hit 82 in Friday’s win over Durham and backed it up with seven fours in his 96-ball knock after Steve Patterson had elected to bat.

Unfortunately, the Vikings will be mighty frustrated at not making the most of a racing start at 80-0 inside 13 overs as Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Adam Lyth hit 39 and 38 respectively.

They slipped to 149-6 in the 30th over, with Bears captain and talismanic overseas spinner Jeetan Patel claiming an excellent 4-33 from 10 overs and affecting a late run out.

Wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose finished with five catches.
