ARMED police have swooped on a street in Buttershaw after a man refused to leave a property for several hours.
A number of police cars and officers with firearms were seen lining Halifax Road, in Buttershaw, at 7.45am on Thursday, and could be seen near a home in Prospect Street.
Half-a-dozen police vehicles sealed off the road as the armed stand-off went on throughout the night.
West Yorkshire Police said they were first called to Prospect street at 11.40pm on Wednesday and remained there until 10am the following morning.
Officials said the man was detained safely.
