SHIPLEY College students and representatives from a disability charity will be climbing Mount Snowdon this week to raise £3,000 for a good cause.
Hft supports adults with learning disabilities, and it is hoped the walk will raise cash for the charity’s Bradford Learning Zone, which supports people learning music, dance, drama, cookery, healthy living, sport, exercise and photography.
Students and staff from college and Hft will be taking part in the climb on Wednesday, along with six people they support with learning disabilities.
The group will set off from Bradford at 6am and head over to Wales to have a guided ascent and descent between the Llanberis Pass and the summit of Snowdon.
Sinead Armstrong, Care and Childcare Lecturer, said: “A large number of students from Shipley College are doing the challenge along with Hft’s own Aim High group of students.”
