FOUR boys from Parkside School in Cullingworth were among soccer stars who recently won the coveted President’s Cup.
They were amongst players in the Nab Wood Cottingley Dynamos, who recently won the prize in a competition for youth teams from across Craven and Wharfedale.
The Dynamos beat the Alpha Team from Great Horton 4-1, while playing at the Eccleshill United FC ground in 26 degrees temperatures.
The Parkside players were Alfie Johnson, Calum Dean, James Defurey and Kian Murgatroyd. Kian was awarded Man of the Match by officials on the day.
This was James’s first season as a goal keeper for the Dynamos’ A Team, after playing as a defender last season for the B Team.
