TEN SELF-taught professional artists will exhibit their work at Shipley Library later this month.

The exhibition, ‘Self-Taught’, organised by leading arts enthusiast Colin Neville from Silsden, will run from May 26 to June 9.

Colin curates the local Not Just Hockney website, and its monthly displays on the Big Screen in Bradford Centenary Square.

His latest exhibition will celebrate the work of local artists either well-established or relatively new to freelance work.

They include Catherine Bartle (Wilsden), George Bowden (Haworth), and Ben Snowden (Keighley).

Another exhibitor, Danny Abraham, specialises in nostalgia paintings which are already in high demand, with prices fetching four-figure sums.

Ben Snowden’s abstract work was recently selected to be part of The Priseman Seabrook Collection of 21st Century British Painting.

There will be a drop-in ‘Meet the Artists’ session on Saturday June 2, between 11am and 10pm at the Shipley library.
