BRADFORD’S new The Light cinema has partnered with local firm Saltaire Brewery.

Cinema-goers will soon be able to enjoy one of the brewery’s beers at the bar or at their seats while watching a movie.

A variety of their award-winning bottled beers will be available with pale ale Saltaire Blonde on tap. The cinema will also be offering foods, such as classic baked pies with a twist from award-winning pie-maker ‘Lord of the Pies’ and Bhel Puri, a savory street-food made of puffed rice, vegetables and a tamarind sauce.

There will also be a vegetarian pick ‘n’ mix, alongside a new spicy popcorn – exclusive to Bradford cinema.

General manager John Wright said: “Here at The Light, it’s great to be able to offer something a little different to what is usually available at a mainstream cinema.””.

Nick Helliwell of Saltaire Brewery, added: “We are proud of our great tasting, quality beers – it is fantastic news that The Light cinema is supporting local companies such as Saltaire and increasing our distribution in our Yorkshire heartland.”

The cinema opens its doors on May 11.
