OVER 1,000 cannabis plants were discovered as police raided a major cannabis farm.

Earlier today police forced their way into a property in Manningham after receiving a tip off it was being used for producing drugs.

Once inside they found a large cannabis farm, with plants in various stages of growth spread out over multiple rooms.

As well as the 1,000 plants there was a large amount of cannabis growing equipment, including fans and heating systems.

Police are currently carrying out forensic enquiries to try and find the people responsible for the grow.

A spokesman for the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Bradford West is committed to tackling drug dealing and removing drugs from the streets.

"Without your local intelligence this result wouldn't be possible."

Last week officers from the Bradford South team took part in a week long operation to tackle cannabis farms, which saw grows in areas such as Holme Wood shut down.
