A QUAD bike that sped away from police investigating calls of anti social driving has been seized.

Members of West Yorkshire Police's Anti Social Bike Team were called to Wrose yesterday afternoon by a member of the public concerned about a distinctive quad bike being driven dangerously in a residential area.

When police tracked down the bike on Wrose Road it sped off "in a dangerous manner" according to officers.

Officers managed to track it down to a "hiding place."

A member of the team said: "All present denied ownership, so it has now been seized and it is unlikely to be claimed."

They also encourage more people to report nuisance bikes, adding: "Please contact Police asap when anti-social or illegal motorcycle / quad activity is seen. Only one phone call from such a highly populated area is a shame."

Reports to the quad squad can be made by calling 101 or emailing bdasbbiketeam@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
