A VACANT shop in Eccleshill will become Bradford’s latest micropub after planners gave a new application the green light.

John Stein had submitted the plans to convert 98 Victoria Road, made up of an empty shop and attached living accommodation, into a bar earlier this year.

The application said the new bar would “appeal to over 25s.”

The plans would see the first floor remain as residential use, while the entire ground floor is turned into a bar serving specialised ales.

Planning officers at Bradford Council approved the application last week.

One of the conditions was that the bar could only open from noon to 11pm on Sundays to Thursdays, from noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
