Traffic queues on the M62 heading towards Chain Bar
A CRASH on the motorway this morning that left one lane closed and caused long delays through the Bradford district has now been cleared.
The collision, between Junction 26 for Chain Bar and Junction 25 for Brighouse, happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62 at around 8.30am.
One lane was closed and the clean up operation, which took around three hours, caused tailbacks as far as Junction 27 for Gildersome.
The inside lane and the hard shoulder were both closed to traffic while the clean-up operation was carried out.
Highways England expected the crash to have been cleared up between 11.30am and 11.45am, with normal traffic conditions returning by 12.30pm.
