A CAR driver and passenger who threw litter out of the window as they passed a marked police vehicle, have been arrested after suspected Class A drugs were found in their vehicle.
West Yorkshire Police officers in Keighley were on routine patrol today when the incident happened.
A spokesman said: "Officers have followed the vehicle when it has tried to evade officers, turning onto the bypass at the last minute and attempting to make off.
"Officers have managed to pull the vehicle over.
"Whilst searching the vehicle a suspicious looking package was found.
"Whilst in custody another two bags full of (suspected) drugs were found, totalling 100 to 150 wraps."
Both the driver and passenger were arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine and the driver for having no insurance.
Both have been bailed as forensic inquiries into the drugs continue. They and will also be dealt with for littering.
