TWO runners are hoping to raise thousands of pounds for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust when they line up for the start of the London Marathon on Sunday.
Atiq Zaman, from Heaton, is raising money for the Trust after his daughter spent a month in Bradford Royal Infirmary’s Neonatal Unit.
He said: "When my place was confirmed for the London marathon, I decided to run it to say thank you for the extraordinary care she received.”
He will be joined by Helen Waddington, of Burley-in-Wharfedale, a keen runner who is the chairwoman of the Bradford Hospitals’ Children’s Charity bid panel, and sees at first-hand the incredible difference fundraising makes to children visiting our hospitals.
