TWO men have been arrested for stealing hundreds of pounds worth of martial arts equipment from the cars of people attending Tuesday's Bradford City game.

During the game against Portsmouth at Valley Parade, three vehicles were broken into.

Yesterday officers attended a nearby hostel after research suggested the suspects lived there.

CCTV at the hostel showed the men leaving during the City game and returning after the match carrying large amounts of goods.

The suspects rooms were searched and 12 of the 13 items stolen were recovered along with tools used to force entry to vehicles.

Items included body protection gear, a sports bag and a Now That's What I Call Music CD.

Both men were later arrested and face being remanded and returned to prison. The hostel has also evicted them.

The items have been returned to their owners.
