IT was a good day for plane spotting of the fighter jet kind today as both a Tornado ZG791/MR01 and a Hawk XX339 JAVIN06 entered Bradford's air space.
Military aircraft photographer @AndrewEasby1 captured the two jets at Leeds Bradford Airport; the Hawk this morning and the Tornado this afternoon, at around 3.15pm.
The Tornado's route went right over the city centre and caused quite a flurry of activity on social media.
A spokesman for Leeds Bradford Airport said they were made aware of the jets' presence.
"It was a training exercise. We are told when they are going to happen though it is quite a regular occurrence; probably at least once a week."
However, for many Bradfordians the sight of a fighter jet passing overhead when you are going about your everyday business in the city centre, it is not a common sight and provided quite a talking point.
