TWO cannons will go on display in Centenary Square next week as part of World Heritage Day celebrations.
Visitors will be able to get close to the cannons, take selfies and learn about their history from 9am to 2pm on Wednesday, April 18.
The story of the cannons date back more than 150 years to the Napoleonic wars. In 1871 the founder of Saltaire, Sir Titus Salt, bought two cannons as original features for his newly created Saltaire Park - later renamed Roberts Park in 1920.
