POLICE are investigating after a burglary took place at a Bradford supermarket in the early hours of today.
A person broke into the Co-operative supermarket in Thorp Garth, Idle, at 4.20am.
It has not yet been confirmed what was taken, but it is believed that bottles of spirits were taken from the shop.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said enquiries are at an early stage and are continuing.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 13180160725, or by calling independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
The incident is the fifth time a Co-operative store in the district has been targeted by criminals in the past five months, following incidents in Birkenshaw, Queensbury and Cullingworth in November 2017, in Clayton in January, and in Addingham last week.
