PLANS to turn a former public house into apartments have been granted by Bradford Council.
The decision will see the ground floor of the former Peel Park Hotel in Otley Road, Undercliffe, turned into five apartments.
The building has not been open as a pub for two years.
Each of the flats will be a one-bedroom apartment with a shower room and kitchen, and the exterior of the building will be unaffected by the development.
Seven off-street car parking spaces will also be provided for the flats, and the highways department said the car park must be resurfaced and marked out before flats are filled.
In approving the plans, planning officer Richard Holliday said the development is in a “sustainable location close to services and facilities which can be accessed on foot or by public transport”, and that the new properties will not have a detrimental impact on surrounding houses or impact highway safety.
