THE police helicopter had a busy few hours in the skies above Bradford this morning, being called to a number of incidents.

Its first call out came at 1.50am to Birstall, where the helicopter NPAS Carr Gate, helped to track down a dangerous driver.

The motorist had been seen driving the wrong way along the M62, and the helicopter found the car while searching the area, only for the driver to flee.

The driver was followed by the helicopter, allowing police officers on the ground to be guided in to the driver's location.

At 2.20am, the helicopter crew was called to Bradford to search for a vehicle stolen in a burglary in Huddersfield, before moving on to Calverley at 2.30am to search for burglary suspects, who were detained by officers on the ground.

The crew's final call out came at 4.57am to Keighley to assist with an ongoing incident.
