DISPERSAL notices were issued to 12 youths in the Wyke and Low Moor areas over the weekend as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

Police had carried out increased patrols in the area after a recent rise in reports of nuisance incidents.

The patrols started on Friday, and over the weekend 12 dispersal notices, which require people to leave the area for a set time period, were issued youths in the area.

A police spokesman said: "We would like to thank the residents of Wyke for all the information we have received in relation to possible offenders and we will be following up every enquiry."

Police say residents can report any incidents of anti-social behaviour in the area on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
