Police have been carrying out patrols in Wyke, Bradford, tonight after what they described as a “recent increase” in crime and anti-social behaviour.

In the course of the evening, officers stopped four males and issued them with Direction to Leave notices, which last for 48 hours.

A statement from Bradford South Police said: “This evening Bradford South ward officers have been conducting patrols in the Wyke area of Bradford due to the recent increase in anti-social behaviour and criminal offences.

“Four males were stopped and were served with Direction to leave notices which will last for a period of 48hrs.

“Additional officers will also be patrolling the Wyke ward over the weekend in a bid to stop the recent increase of reported incidents.

“We would like to thank the residents of Wyke for all the information we have received in relation to possible offenders and we will be following up every enquiry.”
