READER LETTER: There's no need for animals to suffer
SIR - In this modern day there is no need for any animal to suffer by not being stunned before being killed.
In Biblical days were the animals blessed before being slaughtered? Does this happen now?
In those days there were no means of stunning animals before they were slaughtered. Now there are.
