POLICE were called to a fracas in Bradford today following a report a group of men had been fighting there.
The call was made at about 3.40pm to John Street after the incident had concluded.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers attended and a crime of assault has been recorded.
He added that initial inquiries into the incident are underway.
A witness said he heard glass breaking which appeared to come from the direction of Bismillah phone shop, on the corner of John Street, James Street and James Gate.
He said there was an altercation between several men in the street nearby with one person appearing to have an injury to his ear.
