DETECTIVES investigating a serious assault in Bradford are appealing to the public to help them identify two people.

Police want to speak to a woman with blonde hair and a male who is wearing what appears to be an Adidas’ tracksuit. It is believed they may have information about the incident, which happened close to Bentley’s Live Lounge on Godwin Street at around 1.30am on Sunday, January 28.

A 35-year-old man was seriously injured when he is believed to have intervened in a dispute between two groups of people.

He remains in hospital where his condition is currently described as serious but stable.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Gibson, of Protective Services Crime, said: “We would like to thank the public for their response to our first appeal which has helped us to progress our investigation while the victim continues to recover in hospital.

“However, we still need to identify this woman and man who were in Godwin Street at the time the incident happened.

“We are appealing for them, or anyone who might recognise them, to contact us so we can speak to them as part of our ongoing investigation.”

Three men aged 18 and a 19-year-old man have been arrested in connection with this incident. They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to contact Protective Services Crime via 101, quoting reference 13180045439.

Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
