A FOOTBALL superstar visited Bradford on SundayΒ to watch his son compete in a sports event.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was at Richard Dunn Sports Centre to watch his teenage son take part in a taekwondo tournament held at the Rooley Avenue site.

The Manchester United and Sweden striker, 36, who is currently injured, was stopped by autograph hunters and was happy to have his pictures with fans in the centre's car park.

It's the second year in a row that Ibrahimovic has attended the Bradford competition, run by Horizon Taekwondo.

The star scored 62 goals in 116 appearances for Sweden before he retired from international football in 2016.

He has played for some of the world's biggest clubs including Juventus, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona during his glittering career.

  • An earlier version of this story said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's visit was yesterday, rather than Sunday,Β and used a picture from last year's event. The article has been amended.
