THE Bradford Festival of Talent saw more young people shine on stage as the second semi-final got under way.

Held on Friday at Bradford Academy, secondary school pupils vied for a place in the grand final, which will be held next month. The annual competition is aimed at all primary and secondary schools across Bradford and was started by former Lady Mayoress Elizabeth Sharp in 2015.

Emmerson Walgrove, deputy chair and festival compere, said it had been a “wonderful” evening which had attracted an audience of more than 60 people.

The final will be held at Bradford Academy on March 9.

Free tickets are available from www.bradfordacademy.co.uk and donations will be collected for the Plastic Surgery and Burns Research Unit, based at the University of Bradford. Picture by Rais Hasan
