A yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued by the Met Office.
The warning is in effect between 8pm on Monday night (February 5) and 3pm on Tuesday (February 6) and affects the whole Bradford district.
A spokesperson said: "A spell of rain, quickly turning to sleet and snow, will move southeast across the UK on Monday night and Tuesday, gradually weakening across England and Wales."
The forecast for Bradford has temperatures dropping below freezing from 9pm on Monday night and staying there throughout Tuesday morning.
Snow showers are forecast from 7am on Tuesday, continuing through the morning before turning to sleet around 1pm.
Bradford Council tweeted that gritters would be out on the main routes from 6pm on Monday with a night patrol to follow and a second round of gritting on the main routes from 5am on Tuesday.
