"ONE of Bradford's most wanted" was arrested by police yesterday, and assaulted two officers in the process.

The man was wanted on a range of offences, ranging from dangerous driving to kidnap.

Police officer Sam Johnson tweeted at 8pm yesterday: "Three hours late off, one of Bradford’s most wanted in for aggravated burglary, kidnap, dangerous driving, disqualified driving, drug driving and assault PC x2!"

Alongside the tweet, Mr Johnson also shared an image of his bloodied hand sustained during the arrest, and a drugs test showing the person arrested had tested positive for both cocaine and cannabis.

Officers from Bradford East, Keighley and Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Teams conducted the joint operation in Thorpe Edge, and forced entry to a number of properties which resulted in the arrest of five people, which included one of Keighley's most wanted individuals.

One man was arrested on suspicion of ten offences including four counts of burglary, theft from a shop, theft from a motor vehicle and assault.

Another was arrested on three counts of burglary, theft from a motor vehicle and breach of bail conditions.

A female was also arrested on suspicion of burglary and assisting an offender, and a final man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
