THE owners of a missing chihuahua have launched an appeal for her safe return.

Luna, an 18-month-old cream beige-coloured female, has been missing since January 23, when she escaped from the garden of her owner's home in Torre Grove, Horton Bank Top, Bradford.

Andy Smith and his husky dog Murphy, who went missing in 2014, has been assisting with the search for Luna. A leaflet drop, featuring 3,000 leaflets, has also taken place in Buttershaw in Bradford and other surrounding areas within the BD6 postcode.

Claire Hannon, a friend of Luna’s owners, who is organising the campaign, said: “We just want her back so badly. We just want her home.

“She is just adorable. It is quite rugged round where she lives.

“Lots of people are on the ground searching. We have done a leaflet drop as well.

“Luna’s owners will put up a substantial reward for her safe return.

“We would urged people around Torre Grove to check their gardens to see if Luna may have got in there.

“Thankfully Andy and his wife have helped.”
