PLANS to turn a shop into a wine bar in Bingley have been approved.
The business will now open at the site in Main Street (pictured) which will serve drinks in the evening and coffee and cakes throughout the day.
The bar will be aimed at people aged 35 and over and offer entertainment including movie nights and be geared towards professionals during the day.
The building was let and operated as a shop – Opulence – selling gifts and cards. The lease on the property ended this month and has not been renewed.
Under the plans, in the evening the wine bar will have music with vintage movies playing in the background. The proposed opening hours will be between 8.30am and midnight on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 8.30am to 1.30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
