POLICE have issued a warning after two cars were stolen as a result of drivers leaving keys in the ignition.
The vehicles were taken from the Allerton area of Bradford over the weekend.
A red Toyota Aygo was stolen just before 2.40pm yesterday, with officers finding the car parked up in a side street in Fairweather Green just eight minutes later.
The second car, also a Toyota, was taken in the Lower Grange area at 1.10pm today, but was recovered at 2.20pm after police were alerted by a call from a member of the public.
A post on Twitter by the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team read: "We have had two vehicles stolen in two days in the Allerton area.
"Due to the keys being left inside the car whilst owners pop back in home/ let the car warm up.
"Please don’t leave keys in cars/cars unattended in this weather. Both now recovered #CrimePrevention #PolicingBradford."
