SKIPTON Aldi worker Jodie Louise Willsher died from stab wounds to her chest and abdomen, an inquest heard today. (Tuesday, January 16)
Coroner Rob Turnbull read out the cause of death as he opened an inquest into Jodie’s death following a knife attack at the Aldi store in December 21.
The inquest heard that police were called to the store at about 3.30pm after receiving a report of a stabbing. A male in the store had been detained by a member of the public.
Jodie was declared dead at the scene, and her body was formally identified by relative Andrew Bradley the next day at Harrogate District Hospital.
Mr Turnbull said: “A person has been charged in connection with the incident pending an appearance at Crown Court later this month.”
Mr Turnbull declared the inquest open, then adjourned it pending the outcome of the court proceedings.
