ADAM Chicksen made his return from a three-month injury absence this afternoon.
The City left back played the first 45 minutes for the reserves against Doncaster at the training ground.
Chicksen had been sidelined since badly tearing his thigh during the home game with Oldham in October.
But he safely negotiated the first half before coming off as agreed at the break.
City, whose side included a midfield trialist, won 3-2 with goals from Joel Grodowski, his first for the club, Jordan Gibson and Ellis Hudson. Reece Webb-Foster missed a second-half penalty.
