Nine of Keighley Cougars' 13 new signings have been named in the squad for their opening pre-season friendly at Barrow on Sunday.

Trae O’Sullivan, who made his loan move permanent from Batley last September, is joined by fellow recruits Lewis Fairhurst, Billy Gaylor, Harvey Hallas, Jose Kenga, Cameron Leeming, Joe Lumb, Liam Senior and Ryan Wright.

Reserves winger Calvin Barker is also named in the side following Scotland international Davey Dixon’s withdrawal this morning.

Keighley-born prop Matt Ross will also feature in the first game of his month’s trial with the club, having trained with the first team throughout pre-season since his departure from League One rivals Hemel Stags.

Captain Josh Tonks and half-back pair Matty Beharrell and Benn Hardcastle don’t feature. They are expected to get their first run-outs of 2018 the following Sunday when Batley Bulldogs visit Cougar Park.
