A COFFEE shop with a built-in drive-through section has been given the go ahead to be built on wasteland near a busy Bradford road.
The Costa Coffee café will be built on land in Stanley Road, close to its junction with Canal Road, between Bradford and Shipley.
As well as a drive-through area, the shop will have indoor seating and a car park with 39 spaces, including two disabled bays and also bicycle parking space.
The plan could form part of the proposed New Bolton Woods development, that would see 1,000 homes, a primary school, health centre and more built in the surrounding area.
In approving the plans, Bradford Council planning officer Richard Holliday said the new development would pose no danger to highway safety.
Before construction can begin, plans have to be submitted to the Council outlining how intrusive weeds Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam will be removed from the site and the spread of the weeds halted.
