The car stopped by police on Rooley Lane
POLICE were left unimpressed by a driver's excuse that he was driving without insurance because he had only just bought his car.
The driver was stopped by police in their Black Volkswagen Polo on Rooley Lane yesterday.
He was found to have no insurance, and the car has now been seized.
Traffic officers PC Ben Pearson said: "'Its not insured as I’ve just bought it' doesn’t cut it unfortunately. Driver reported and vehicle recovered."
