Incident on M62
A MOTORWAY junction has been closed while police respond to a "serious" incident this afternoon.
Police were called to the M62 Eastbound at Junction 25 (A644 Wakefield Road) shortly after 3pm. The exit ramp has been closed and police have urged motorists to avoid the junction.
West Yorkshire Police have Tweeted "M62 J25 Eastbound Exit slip road is closed due to a serious incident ... please avoid this junction."
UPDATE: The road re-opened shortly before 7.30pm. However, police have yet to reveal the nature of the "serious incident."
A spokesman for Highways England said to motorists via Twitter: "Thanks for your patience."
