A MAN was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a lamppost and ended up on its roof.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, suffered minor injuries in the crash involving a red Seat Cordoba at the junction of Cottingley Road and Stony Lane, Sandy Lane, Bradford, at around 12.25am today.
He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for a check-up and was released from the vehicle by the emergency services, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.
The road was closed as fire crews from Fairweather Green and Bingley, police and an ambulance, attended the incident.
Passers-by took to social media to comment on the seriousness of the crash.
One Facebook post read: “Saw the aftermath. Not a pretty sight of the cars involved. Praying everyone involved is OK.”
Another said they had driven past the incident on their and said a car seemed to have “flipped over.”
