POLICE officers got a surprise when they found an unlikely passenger in an uninsured car - a startled dog.
The petrified looking pooch was discovered in the silver Audi TT shortly before officers seized the vehicle in South Street, Keighley, at just before 6.30am this morning.
The dog - a pug - was removed from the car before it was towed away, and officers saw the funny side of the situation on Twitter.
A tweet from the West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said: "South Street, Keighley. Vehicle seized after found to be uninsured.
"Driver was a bit ruff. We didn't expect to find the dog in the car before seizing it!"
